Refuelled

Play

The third of the three, and the one everybody drops

Eating well and training hard is two-thirds of it. Rest, fun and the people you like are the other third, and Refuelled counts them without turning them into a target.

Board game pieces and dice part-way through a game.

Pick from a list worth reading

Seventy-odd specific things rather than a menu of headings, because the list is meant to make you want to do one of them.

  • Skim stones

Nobody has ever done this for three minutes.

  • Listen to a whole album, start to finish

No skipping. Sit down for it.

  • Take a different way home

    Five minutes longer, entirely new.

  • Sit and do absolutely nothing

Harder than it sounds. Worth practising.

  • Get on a train with no plan

Pick a stop because you like the name.

  • Build something out of Lego

Instructions optional. Actively discouraged, in fact.

Counted by variety, not by volume

Every entry carries what it gives you, and a week is read by which of those it touched:

Scoring play by minutes would turn it into training, which is the one thing it must not become. "You got outdoors and made things this week, but you have not seen anyone" is worth hearing. "You are forty fun points short" is not, and it is the sentence that makes people stop logging.

Refuelled records what you did. It does not ask how you felt about it, and there is nowhere in the database to put an answer. That question deserves a proper decision before it is asked at all.
